the moon has been here for for 4 billion years.
it is the second brightest object in the sky after the Sun.
on July 20, 1969 the moon was first vistited by Neal Armstrong and Buzz Almond. They were the first to walk the Moon!
the forces between the Moon and the Earth give some cool efects. High tides and low tides are caused by the gravity on the moon.
The dark spots used to be lave that cooled. thes is called maria which makes up about 16% of the moon's surface.
Regolith is a mixture of fine dust and rocky matirial made by meateor impacts.
